A Self Portrait in Stories is Tessa’s first true experimentation with stop-motion animation. The video explores some of the stories that are important and relevant to her identity, through sound design, imagery, and movement. 

Although the technical aspects of this project are basic, it exemplifies Tessa’s passion for exploring new things. Storytelling, materiality, and interdisciplinary practice all play into A Self Portrait in Stories. The sound design and score were designed and primarily composed by Tessa in addition to the visual elements, and this cross-disciplinary creativity has fed and informed her artistic growth moving forward.
